You may have seen these Kailijumei lipsticks on Buzzfeed, but they really are as cute as they look in photos. The actual color changes with body temperature and generally looks like a lightly tinted lip gloss. The texture is not sticky at all. Obviously, I mainly got this for the tiny flower and specks of gold.
fullsizerender-4I usually don’t go for trendy pieces, but as I’m still on the fence about the Lisi Lerch tassel earrings, I decided to compromise and try BaubleBar’s Piñata Tassel Drops. They’ve been a hit so far! I’ve received a lot of compliments, and they automatically make any outfit seem fresh and fun.

I’ve gotten a new agenda book every year, since I was in the fifth grade, and this ban.do 17-month planner is hands down my favorite. It’s the perfect size, since there is less of a border than with most “designer” agendas, which cuts down on the bulk and makes it more convenient to carry around. And the adorable graphics just make my day! This is the first time I’ve had an agenda that isn’t lined, which I’d originally thought would seem less organized, but I’m actually appreciating the freedom. For more agendas, check out Sally’s post featuring some of my other season favorites.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I’ve been wanting a cape for roughly ten years. So when I came across this Ellen Tracy cape during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I finally decided to make my dream come true. I love that this particular cape can be dressed up or down more easily than most, and the pop of baby blue in the lining and hood is a unique touch. DC’s mild autumn weather lasts longer than most cities, so I can see myself wearing this a lot this year. If only this current summer weather would end soon…

Have you checked out Book Marks? It’s a “book review aggregator,” which is essentially Rotten Tomatoes for books. Perusing the reviews on books I’ve read, they generally match my own ratings, which is pleasantly surprising. This is truly the best thing since Goodreads.
