Few things are more exciting than finding in your closet a pair of skirt-like shorts that you bought in France four years ago (but completely forgot about and, therefore, have never actually worn), just in time for shorts weather!

Last weekend, to celebrate my mom’s birthday, my family had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh, Saint Jacques. The best part about this restaurant is their unique twist on one of my most favorite desserts, vacherin glacé. It’s basically meringue stuffed inside a block of vanilla ice cream, which is covered in pralines and chocolate syrup… If you’re not drooling at this point, you’re probably not a human.

I try not to be super picky about earphones because mine always end up broken or lost, and I haven’t decided yet if the quality of nice, over-ear headphones would be worth the price and inconvenience. But I’ve tried pretty much all of the popular brands and models of inexpensive earphones, and at the end of the day, nothing beats the Sony MDREX58V/BLK EX Series Earbud Headphones. These earphones boast a wide range and incredible balance of sound (looking at you, Panasonic). You can listen to music at a decent volume without bothering a neighbor (looking at you, Apple). And what’s most impressive? Bass.

When most people think of breakfast, they probably don’t think of Taco Bell. But a dear friend asked me to review Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu, and even though she was probably joking, I’ll try anything once. So I ordered a Waffle Taco with sausage and an A.M. Crunchwrap with bacon. They tasted as good as you’d expect fast food breakfast to be, and I’d say they’ll give McDonald’s a run for its money. (Plus, Taco Bell’s breakfast ends later at 11 am.) As for afterwards, I felt fine, though I did go for a run later in the day and had to wonder if my breakfast was to blame for my pace, which was slightly slower than usual…

Everyone marvel at my sorority’s dance team! Placing among the top five at the Greek Week Variety Show is kind of a big deal, and this year the ladies won third!
